Dust Buster- 17 years old

Buster AKA: Dust Buster came to us with two other dogs from the same home.  Although we do not generally take owner surrenders, this situation broke our hearts.  Buster's human had him since he was a puppy, and loved him very much.  Unfortunately her health was failing.  She was elderly, unable to drive, was diagnosed with cancer, and had a fall history.  She was unable to take care of her beloved family members for the past several years.  We saw his house siblings on a Facebook post and knew we had to help.

We actually went to the home to visit Sadie, Buster's sibling.  The owner informed us that since Buster was so old and in bad shape that they were going to have him euthanized.  While we were visiting Sadie, Old Man Buster came limping out of the bedroom.  He looked sad and defeated.  He was lethargic, smelly, full of fleas, hair loss, and had a huge tumor on one side of his body. He was a mess, and he was perfect! We knew that in addition to Sadie we needed to take Buster.

Buster had a short time with us, but it was full of fun and adventure.  We were able to get his skin condition under control, and medication, great food, and a soft bed made all the difference. Buster went to see his friends over the rainbow bridge on August 28, 2020. He had so many physical and medical issues that his old body just gave out. He was having trouble getting up and walking. He was in so much pain, but he never lost the  constant smile on his face and his sass. We know Dust Buster is up in heaven swimming and chewing up all the toys.  Rest in power Dust Buster... we miss you everyday.
