Miss Magoo 13 years old

Miss Magoo came to us from Animal Care and Control. She was surrendered by her owner because she was old and sick.  We fell in love at first sight! She came to live with us in March, and sadly left us in July.  We wish we had more time with this sweet, gentle, goofy soul.  She went to the groomers, or as we call it, her first spa day on a Friday, and by Monday we were saying goodbye.  She was so happy after her day at the spa...looking very spiffy.  She had recently had a large tumor removed from her elbow, and needed a relaxing day getting spoiled.  That weekend we could tell she didn't feel well.  By Sunday she was still sick so we started IV fluids and anti nausea meds. On Monday we knew we had to take her in to see the vet.  

After some tests we found out that Miss Magoo had a tumor that was taking up almost 75% of her stomach! Doc said most of it was hiding under the ribs which is why we never saw evidence of the tumor.  Poor Miss Magoo had already been through one surgery, and this surgery would require taking out most of her stomach.  It is a very tough surgery, with a tougher recovery. Given her advanced age, and the high chance of not making it trough the tough surgery, we decided to say goodbye to our sweet girl. 

We will always remember Miss Magoo for making us laugh every day.  She towered over all others in the house, drank too much water, drooled everywhere, and would occasionally step on one of the small, blind dogs.  She loved taking walks and cuddling with mommy Kat, but her favorite past time was taking long power naps! We miss her every day, and our love for this big goofball is never ending.
